– LOCAL PEST CONTROL –
Rats along the River Biss, mice in older terraces, wasps under the eaves of new builds on the edge of town. As Wiltshire’s county town, Trowbridge mixes old mill buildings, a busy town centre, riverside retail parks and housing old and new, and every one of them has its own pest problems. Wiltshire Pest Services Ltd provides discreet, professional pest control for homes and businesses across Trowbridge, just 20 to 30 minutes from our Warminster base. We aim to visit the same day where the diary allows, or the next day for less urgent jobs. Every job starts with a proper inspection and ends with a clear report. Call us on 07711 259749 or use the form on this page.

Some problems need more than a standard treatment. These services are also available across Trowbridge:
The River Biss runs through the middle of Trowbridge, past Town Park and the Riverside Walk, on its way to the Kennet and Avon Canal. The damp ground along the river suits rats, and as the weather turns they move into nearby gardens, sheds, homes and businesses. We look after a riverside retail park in Trowbridge under an ongoing contract, where the river running through the site means rats need regular monitoring. Where rats keep coming back, a drain survey often finds the way in.
In a busy town centre, one neglected building can cause problems for everyone around it. We once cleared a serious rat problem from a Trowbridge charity shop, where the rats were coming from a closed-down takeaway next door. We met the local Environmental Health Officer on site to get the source dealt with while we cleared our client’s premises. For shops, cafés and takeaways, we work discreetly, around opening hours, and can provide reports for your records.
Trowbridge grew on the wool and cloth trade, and its old mills, Georgian houses and weavers’ cottages are still part of the town. Older timbers can harbour woodworm, and gaps in old stonework and roofs let in mice, cluster flies and roosting pigeons.
Paxcroft Mead, the biggest estate on the outskirts of Trowbridge, sits right next to fields and hedgerows, and we carry out regular domestic work there. Homes on the edge of town see wasps nesting in eaves and air bricks in summer, ants in kitchens in spring, and mice moving in from the fields in autumn. Further out, we also look after an educational petting farm on the outskirts of Trowbridge, where keeping animals, children and visitors safe comes first.
We’re based in Warminster, 20 to 30 minutes from Trowbridge, and aim to visit the same day where the diary allows.
Our team has over 30 years of combined experience, including BPCA-certified professionals and a Fellow of the RSPH. Every technician is qualified to at least Level 2.
High-end food manufacturers rely on us to meet BRC and AIB audit standards. In Trowbridge, we look after retail parks, offices, shops and an educational farm.

Rats like damp ground and running water, and the river and canal give them shelter and food. In colder months they move into nearby gardens, sheds and homes looking for warmth.
